Publisher: Surry Hills, N.S.W. Australian Youth Affairs Coalition 2010Description: PDF.Other title: AYAC's strategic directions report.Online Access: Electronic copy Notes: October 2010Summary: During consultation with the AYAC's National Representative Committee in November 2009 and at the Annual General Meeting in November 2008 feedback was received on AYAC's role and future directions. Additionally in 2009 AYAC visited each State and Territory within Australia and met youth sector representatives to gain a clear picture of what they would expect from a national peak body. During these initial consultations youth sector representatives provided broad feedback on their expectations. AYAC decided to consult further with the youth sector prior to developing a Strategic Plan. A survey was developed to seek the feedback of young people, workers from youth organisations and other stakeholders in regard to what they saw as the priorities for AYAC over the coming years. Based on consultation across the Youth Sector nationally, AYAC developed a survey in April 2010 which included a mix of open and closed questions. The survey was administered via Survey Monkey and results were collated for each question. 192 responses were received for the survey. Of those respondents approximately 56% were youth sector workers, 26% were young people and 18% were policy makers or from an advocacy body.Availability: (1)
