The Brotherhood welcomes further efforts by policy makers to address financial exclusion, including consideration of the issues presented in the National Credit Reform Green Paper. In this submission, we respond to the following areas of the Green Paper: regulation of short-term, small-amount lending (chapter 5) ; regulation of consumer leases (chapter 6) ; regulation of credit cards (chapter 2) ; enhancement to the National Consumer Credit Protection Regime (chapter 7) ; coverage of credit under the National Consumer Credit Protection Act 2009 and avoidance practices (chapter 8).
