Justice for Asylum Seekers (JAS) is an alliance of over 30 national church, welfare and community organisations, founded in Melbourne in 1999 to achieve just treatment of people claiming asylum in Australia while acknowledging the need for border management and sound migration processes. JAS network includes: Brotherhood of St Laurence Hotham Mission Melbourne Catholic Commission for Justice , Development and Peace
