The Australian Social Inclusion Board's Compendium of Social Inclusion Indicators contributes first steps towards comprehensive performance measurement and evaluation of social inclusion in Australia. It has been developed by the Board to generate discussion and debate on the question of how to measure disadvantage and social exclusion. It includes indicators developed in the EU and supplementary Australian measures, to draw a picture of how people are doing on issues such as income, access to the job market, social supports and networks, effects of the local neighbourhood, access to services and health.
