The Jessica Millott collection is housed in the Brotherhood of St. Laurence Social Policy Library in Fitzroy, Victoria. Jessica Millott began working with the Brotherhood as a volunteer in 1951 at Carrum Downs then at the Coolibah from 1953. After 11 years as a voluntary helper, she took up the position of Coolibah Club manager at the start of 1962. She remained as manager for 23 years and in 1980, was awarded the British Empire Medal in the New Year Honours list. In 1981, Jessica Millott retired after 30 years with the Brotherhood,
In 1984 St Mary’s Mission House, Fitzroy was converted into a rooming house for 25 people and renamed Millott House in honour of Jessica Millott.
The collection contains personal diaries, Coolibah Club membership books and diaries recording material aid given to Coolibah Club members.

Series 1: Personal Notebooks & Diaries
This Series contains: alphabetical address book with names, addresses and phone numbers (some entries have biographical and personal information); Personal telephone directory with 6-digit phone numbers listed; Personal diary with some daily entries; includes telephone directory with names addresses and 7-digit phone numbers listed (this also includes: a separate letter from Bernadette [surname unknown], dated 13 December 1989; 1989 Christmas raffle ticket selling roster dated 29 September 1989; x3 business cards and 2 slips of paper with phone number).
Series 2: Coolibah Club Membership books
This Series contains: A-Z Member Directories containing biographical details including: name, address, date joined, religion, next of kin (and address), attending doctor, age on joining, pension number, date of decease; List of members in numerical order from “April 5th 1972” to “July 21st” with name, address, date. Could be an attendance list.
Series 3: Coolibah Club Miscellaneous notes and ephemera
This Series contains: Framed Certificate of Appreciation from the Sandringham & District Memorial Hospital: ”This Certificate Of Appreciation Was Presented To Mrs Jessica Millott, In Recognition Of Services Rendered, By Resolution Of The Board Of Management On The 10th Day Of March 1995.” Signed by the President and Chief Executive Officer; Folder of various documents and correspondence:

Series 4: Coolibah Club Material Aid
This Series contains: A-Z directory of member clothing measurements for dresses, shirts, skirts, aprons. Includes name, address, body measurements (bust, sleeve, hips, neck, wrist, waist) and clothing (frock, cape, slip, nightie, apron, gown etc). Book also includes clothing design sketches; receipts from “Payne’s Bon Marche Pty. Ltd.”; personal notes and religious saint cards; diaries Diary with member names and details of material aid provided, costs and members visited. Includes personal observations.
