This report presents the results of the Phase 2b consultation conducted with 974 individuals from 21 non-government organisations (NGOs), including service providers and disabled peoples’ organisations (DPOs), the First Nations-focused National Disability Research Agenda survey and online focus groups and in-depth interviews with people with augmentative and alternative communication needs. It complements the results of the Phase 2a National Survey1 which surveyed 973 people via an online survey and is part of a multi-component project to inform the development of a disability research agenda in Australia. This research was funded by the National Disability Research Partnership (NDRP) to develop the foundation for an agenda for Australian disability research over the next decade. The research was conducted by a sub-group from our broader Consortium of NGOs, academics and research partners, including people with lived experience of disability and DPOs.
